Chinese Overseas Christian Mission Newsletter 9-2025

Dear prayer warriors:  Peace in the Lord. We apologize that this letter has been long delayed. The draft had been in mind for quite some time, but only now are we finally putting it to paper. Yet, during this period of delay, God's grace has given us some very good news, which brings us comfort and compels us to testify to His great power. His faithfulness is worth sharing, and we want to tell you how He has been at work in our lives and ministry.

Reflections on collaboration in missions

It has been a rather difficult few months, or maybe three years, as I reflect on this topic of collaboration and partnership. I should have known it would be challenging, given my own complex background (I was raised in Taiwan and the U.S. After graduating from the university, I spent some time in Singapore studying about missions as well as working with mainland Chinese students.). Throwing into the mix, our family has been living in Ghana (West Africa) for almost 14 years.

Prayer Request for Dr. Moussa Coulibaly

November 2025 Jihad means Muslim holy war, and that is the biggest problem in Burkina Faso. It also means terrorism toward education, Christians, and even other Muslims. They kill, level villages, rape, etc. The result is that those who escape try to move to safer regions of Burkina Faso. The big problem is that safer regions are becoming less and less.

(This is day ### of the year. What have you been doing with your time?)“ 願神幫助我們數算自己的日子,數算神的恩典,使我們更加忠心地敬拜他,服事祂。

Who Is That in the Painting?

Maria is a young woman, who like many typical young adults enjoys hanging out in coffee shops and bookstores. One day, she saw a book open on a shelf, and she was attracted to it because the cover was pink (her favorite color). She went over to it, started reading it, and thought the poetry on the pages was amazing and deep. She quickly closed the book so that she could see the title on the cover, only to be shocked and surprised. It was the Bible. She quickly closed it and walked away quietly and ashamed. Maria is from our province in Southeast Asia.
