Dear brothers and sisters, family and friends,
Thank you for being here today to remember and honor our daughter—Tiffany.
For us, this is an incredibly, incredibly difficult day. Our hearts are filled with pain, longing, and regrets beyond words. Yet even in a moment like this, we still come before God and say through our tears: “Lord, thank You.”
1. Thank God for giving Tiffany to us
God placed Tiffany in our family for sixteen years. Sixteen years is far too short, yet filled with precious memories. From the time she was little, she was a very special child—smart, gentle, kind, thoughtful. Her smile could melt away all the exhaustion of an entire day. We will never forget her voice, her hugs, her little gestures. These memories will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

2. Thankful for our family’s love
To Grandma, for all the years you cared for Tiffany;
To Auntie, for your constant concern;
To her older sister, who grew up with her—talking with her, laughing with her, crying with her. Your love was one of the warmest parts of Tiffany’s life.

3. Thankful for our spiritual family
In California, the church family loved her dearly. After moving to Atlanta, she continued to be loved and welcomed in the youth group. We especially thank Sister Angela and Minister Coleman—your companionship with her and your care for our family will never be forgotten.

4. The darkness and battles of the past two years
The past two years have been an extremely difficult journey for our whole family. Tiffany was first diagnosed with ADHD, and later struggled with depression and an eating disorder. We walked through many dark days together, days when we truly did not know what tomorrow would look like. The Bible says, “The enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”(1 Peter 5:8) We truly experienced that kind of spiritual battle.
But we also experienced that God never let go of our hands. We thank the ACCCN brothers and sisters for walking with us and praying for us; we thank the pastors’ wives and church family in California for continually interceding for Tiffany; we thank the Madison Moms’ Prayer Group for always lifting us before God. “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”(Psalm 46:1)
5. The most painful day
On May 21st of this year, Tiffany left us forever. That day was the most painful day of our lives, a pain that cannot be described with words. But even in the deepest sorrow, we still saw God’s hand—through your hugs, your tears, your prayers, God carried us. We thank the relatives and friends who traveled from far away to share this grief with us.

6. Thank you to everyone here today
Thank you for coming to walk with Tiffany on this final journey. A special thank you to the church brothers and sisters who poured so much time and effort into preparing today’s service and the burial that will follow. Thank you for choosing to celebrate Tiffany’s short yet beautiful life with us. She lived only sixteen years, but the love, the smiles, the gentleness, and the memories she left behind will live in our hearts forever.
7. To those who feel alone
I want to say a word to the young people here today— to anyone who feels lonely, who is struggling, who feels no one understands you: You are not alone. Jesus loves you. He knows your pain. He sees your tears. He is right beside you. You are His beloved. The Bible says, “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.”(Psalm 23:4). Today, we are walking through that valley. But we know—God is walking with us.
8. To Tiffany
Tiffany, Mom and Dad miss you so much. There is so much we wish we could still say to you, so much we wish we could still do with you. But even in our sorrow, we thank God for bringing you into our lives. Thank you for walking with us through these sixteen years. Today is not an ending for us—it is placing you into the hands of our Heavenly Father. And we believe that one day, we will see you again in the Lord.
Thank You, Lord. Amen
