Since first grade, I always attended church and was a part of the community. I grew up in a Christian family, and my parents fully supported my journey to get baptized and grow closer to God.

Until recently, though, I never understood the importance of God’s word. I was just at church, never really taking His words to heart. However, as I grew older, piled with more work and responsibilities, I began praying more. Philippians 4:5-7 says, “The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” I began to realize that God is always in control and that I do not have to worry about the outcome. Since this discovery, I have found more success in my life and developed peace of mind. I now know God is in control and I don’t have to worry about everything.

I hope to continue living as a Christian and grow closer to God. I will continue to participate in the Worship team as my way of serving Him.
