When I first started attending church, I tried my best to follow God’s word, but still thought that church was just a waste of time on a Sunday morning. I would just go to church and come back, not getting much meaning in my life. I just went, and I never fully understood it.

After a while of this in North Carolina, I moved to Georgia, where I became a lost kid. I realized I was ungrateful for what I had, and I became lonely, shy, and didn’t talk much. I didn’t have any friends that I could reach out to. I felt alone in unfamiliar territory.

After a while, I started praying at night and praying for something to light up my life. God heard me and answered my prayers, and in a couple of weeks, He found a church for me filled with brothers and sisters that gave me a new family. I started attending Sunday school, worship, and Friday night youth group. The church gave me a reason to live.

Through Him, I was able to finally able to express myself and I was able to come to others and find a comfort zone in church. He taught me there is hope, and that He will always be there for me, even in the darkest of times. I want to keep spreading God’s word, goodness, and holiness. I have found comfort and home in the church, and I want others who are lost to also come and see God’s holiness.
