Christopher J. H. Wright pointed out in the prologue of the Chinese version of “God in Mission” that “Mission is not ours, but God’s…; Mission is not for church, but church is for mission, God’s mission.”

From the grateful stories from all over the world and locally, I see the new things that God in mission has done during the pandemic. Brothers and sisters of “Fellowship of Nations” bravely went to the refugee community in their neighborhood and took the opportunity to take a new step in cross-cultural mission through the wonderful cooperation of churches with the same spirit. The two fellowships of Europe Campus Ministry have transformed into churches. The spark of evangelism has been ignited in Germany. I hope that the spark of revival will start a prairie fire, from Germany throughout Europe, from the Chinese to all people in the world. Ben from Ambassadors for Christ, Inc., went back to Malaysia and visited various countries in Southeast Asia non-stop. He even went deep into the dangerous areas to listen to the missionaries’ grievances and count God’s grace with them. There are countless stories of God’s mission. What new stories will our church write this year?

In the first Sunday sermon in 2022, Pastor Chi not only expanded on the theme of “Love God, Love Family, Love Church,” but also mentioned a vision for the next ten years of making ACCCN a missionary church. God has given our church three new ministers and elders who, along with the PEC, will lead our church with one heart and one mind. Through Mrs. Hong Peng’s anti-cancer devotional diary, God encourages brothers and sisters to look up to the Lord who is the creator and finisher of our faith.

I pray that at this year’s Missionary Conference, God would use Pastor Guangci Huang, who has done missionary work among Muslims for many years, to send out the voice calling in the wilderness. Let us care for the 1.8 billion Muslims together, be willing to obey the Holy Spirit, respond to the Lord’s call, bravely step out of our comfort zones, and write new stories of our church’s mission.
