I grew up in the church, but I came to church and fellowship only because of my parents. I just used this time to play with my friends, barely paying attention to the lessons taught. I knew about the miracles and sacrifice of Christ, but I felt like those things had nothing to do with me. I prayed only because my parents told me to, doubted the presence of God, and thought that this religion was just a title. I was always shy around people, prideful, and hot-tempered because of my annoying brothers.

But about a year ago, God sent a sister to our house, and we started family worship together. During this time, we studied Bible verses together. I learned that we all have weaknesses and habits that we don’t notice, and we need God’s help to change. These family gatherings encouraged me to pray and to want to become a better person, and totally changed the way I thought about being a Christian. Through praying, I finally felt God’s presence with me. I settled myself down and talked with Him and saw Him working to change me.

I asked for God’s help in school and with my friends. I started to pray before exams and for God to comfort me when I feel stressed out because of schoolwork. I also started to know more people during the beginning of the school year. God also helped me to get myself back on track after the pandemic. I continued my piano lessons, invited friends to hang out together, and did better in school. I learned to ask God for help to control my temper and to have time control.

I know I still have a lot of bad habits that I need to get rid of, but I want to invite Christ into my life and live the way he wants us to. I want to learn more about the words of God and give my life to Him. I want to help praise God and get involved in church and help my brothers to also accept Christ as their savior.
