Hello, everyone. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jennifer. April 4 is such a big, important day, because I will be baptized.
A little bit about myself: I married my husband in 1997 and had a child in 2000. We sent our child to a Christian daycare from the time he was 2.
Unfortunately, in a tragic accident, my husband passed away in 2005. My entire world collapsed, and I didn’t know what to do. I was dazed and confused and didn’t know how to cope with the pain.
A friend recommended that I join a Buddhist temple to help me recover from the tragedy. After attending the temple for several years, I felt like I was missing something.
In 2010, Catherine Lee, a friend of mine, invited me to join ACCCN to study the word of the Lord and build my faith in Jesus Christ. Sad to say, I stopped attending church for a few years due to scheduling issues. I was falling away from the right path. I thought God had forgotten about me after I had forsaken Him.
But something magical happened. In November of 2020, I had an accident. My water pipe burst and flooded the garage. I climbed on top of a ladder to fix the water tank leak, but my foot slipped. I was going to land on my car and the impact would have broken my neck and spine. But in this moment, God hadn’t forgotten about me. As I was falling, I felt His holy hand move me away from danger.
God’s mercy showed itself again when my son contracted COVID-19 in December. One night, he couldn’t breathe and had to be sent to the hospital at 5 a.m. I spent the entire day waiting outside the hospital, praying for him. Through the prayers of all my friends at ACCCN, my son miraculously recovered.
At this moment, I realized that God hadn’t forgotten about me. Even after my absence from the church for several years, God still loves me and has saved my life several times. I am eternally grateful for His love and the gracious church that saved me.
Now, I start a new relationship with God. God gave me a new life. No matter how hard the times may be, my heart has always been guided by Jesus. My happiness and faith in Christ will last a lifetime and provide me comfort. I’m moving forward. I would ask that Jesus come into my life. I would like to join the family. Thank you, everyone.
